New album "Sonder" by David Dower

Following a 5th tour to Bulgaria, “Sonder” is the 4th release from the David Dower Trio.

The music on “Sonder” reflects the experiences of an Australian jazz pianist David Dower, and his obsession with Bulgaria. The album was recorded in Sofia, Bulgaria, and features collaborations with local Bulgarian musicians. These traditional elements meld in tastefully with a rhythm section that is more reminiscent of 90's alt-rock band Ben Folds Five (Jazz Piano, Distorted fuzz bass, and big drums). The album also features London-based guitarist Elliot Frost.

“Sonder” is the David Dower Trio’s most mature release to-date. Nostalgia, joy, melancholy, and passion, all captured in a Bulgarian frame.
